Used Vehicles Under $20,000 in Morristown & Jefferson City, TN

Late-Model Value: Used Vehicles Under $20,000 at Farris

For a lot of East Tennessee families, $20,000 is the sweet spot: enough to get into a newer, lower-mileage vehicle with modern safety and tech features, without the price of buying new. Farris Motor Company's under-$20,000 inventory brings together used SUVs, sedans and pickups from our Farris Jeep Ram Chrysler Dodge and Farris Ford stores in Morristown and our Jefferson City location, so you can compare them all in one place.

Popular Used SUVs Under $20K

Compact and midsize SUVs make up a big part of this price range, and they fit East Tennessee life well. Shoppers often find models like the Jeep Compass, Nissan Rogue, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Escape, GMC Terrain, Kia Sorento and Volkswagen Taos. They're a practical fit for school drop-offs in Morristown, weekend trips to Panther Creek State Park, and the drive over the hills toward Douglas Lake and the Smokies.

Fuel-Efficient Sedans for the Knoxville Commute

If you drive I-40 or I-81 into Knoxville every day, or cover a lot of miles along Andrew Johnson Highway (US-11E) between Jefferson City and Morristown, a sedan under $20,000 can save you at the pump. Look for commuter favorites such as the Nissan Altima, Nissan Versa and Kia Forte, which frequently appear in this price range.

Trucks and 4x4s With Room in the Budget

Farris is a Jeep, Ram and Ford dealer, which means we see a steady flow of trade-ins from local truck and 4x4 owners. Depending on the day, this page can include older Ford F-150 and Jeep Wrangler models, along with other SUVs built for gravel driveways and wet mountain roads in Hamblen, Jefferson, Grainger and Cocke counties.

How to Get the Most for Your $20,000

Model year, mileage and trim all affect price, so it helps to decide what matters most before you shop. A newer model year may give you the latest safety features, while an older, higher-trim vehicle may add leather, a sunroof or 4WD for the same money. Use the filters on this page to sort by year, mileage, make and body style, and compare vehicles side by side.

Your trade-in can help, too. Get your trade-in value online, then use our car loan calculator to estimate a monthly payment. When you're ready, apply for financing from home to save time at the dealership.
